Using a TailGator mane bags in conjunction with EQyss grooming products will give your horse the best mane possible
The fabric that we use is of the highest technical quality. We use mainly ski and outdoor wear fabrics for our products, as these give us the best result for light weight, waterproof and breathable mane & tail bags. The mane bags have elastic cuff tops to prevent any debris from getting into the bag. The unique fold over design with loop through velcro reduces the size of the bag almost in half, keeping it out of the way of rugs and your horses way.
Mane bags can be used on any breed of horse or pony, from Shetland to Shire. The bag measures 12" (1 foot) long and will extend to 4" at the top. The standard mane bag will take approx 24" (2 foot) of plaited mane folded in half before being put into the mane bag [NB the length of the mane plaited /unplaited will differ] Once the mane is in good condition (following a weekly moisturiser treatment) then you can leave it in the bag and only remove the bag to check that the plait is not working loose. If you have a very long mane then the use of vet wrap or similar wrapped around the lower part of the plait will also keep the plait from becoming loose and will cut down on any friction that the hair may encounter.
