We strongly advise that you use the Survivor Detangler to ensure that the mane remains tangle free when in the bag.

If you need a thicker or longer mane then use the Mega-Tek Rebuilder to keep the hair strong and promote regrowth.

Thank you to all the customers that have purchased our mane bags in the past. We have always been delighted to hear and see your photos of how much they have helped keep your horses manes in good condition. We have a line of competition horses ourselves and have found that trying to produce the mane bags (which do take quite a while to produce) as well as our horses a bit of a strain with not enough hours in the day. With that in mind, we have decided to stop production of the mane bags so we can concentrate on just producing the tail bags and our show horses. The TailGator tail bags are always going to be for sale and we won’t stop making them. Once again thank you for your support and continued business, we hope you understand... well more than our show horses that aren’t going to be happy about their new training regime!

Top tips for mane bags

Remember to use a good quality hair band to fasten your plait. The bag will stay on as long as the hair is plaited. We don't recommend rubber plaiting bands as they break quickly.

If the hair is really thick then using bandage tape around the bottom of the pait works very well to secure the plait, as the tape does not stick to the hair.
